1. What is your favorite kind of sandwich?
the kind that's edible. (i eat any kind of sandwich).

2. Can you play any musical instruments?
i used to play the guitar back in high school, but i got all maarte so i stopped. the tips of my fingers got kalyo, and i didn't like that. i got scared kasi what if some boy held my hands and felt how rough and kalyo-ridden they were, e di mapapa-"nyeh" siya... so i thought, drums nalang! cool yon! i asked my parents for a set of drums, but they wouldn't let me. mas pinili nila yung magpatugtog ako ng music from the radio ng malakas instead of buying me the thing. alam nilang walang sawa kong hahatawin yun hanggang gabi. i argued pa na ipa-soundproof nalang ang room ko. siyempre di umubra, mahal kasi. sabi pa nila, "eh san mo lalagay yon? di kasya sa room mo!" sagot ko: "e di wala nalang akong kama! gagamitin ko yung sleeping bag!" asa ka pa kristine!!! nagsawa na ko sa kakakulit. naisip ko rin na magpapalaki ng arms and legs ko yung pag-play ng drums... hehe. ayan tuloy, wala akong alam. ang arte kasi ni chie e!

3. How often do you get your hair cut?
as often as i want to, which is like, after every 3 months yata? i'm lucky i have a sister who can do a decent haircut. right now i think i want to grow it long...

4. Where is your favorite place to shop?
uh.. for clothes? sa mall, sa red lane at goldcrest sa glorietta. pag maraming pera, sa u2 o sa u sa rustans. masaya rin sa ukay sa may lopez sa sucat. surplus shop sa mga sm malls.

5. What did you do this weekend?
saturday counts as a weekday because i went to work. sunday was spent all day at home. fooling around with the family website, watching cartoons on tv, texting, YM, sleeping all afternoon, reading a month's worth of newspapers, blogging... i took a bath and ate rin pala :D

TRY THIS: BUDDHIST MEDITATION

focus on ur breathing... when thoughts or sounds distract u, acknowledge them... but do not attach urself to them... halimbawa, parang kausap mo ang tumatalak mong boss. understand what she's saying, pero do not get too involved.. care but do not attach urself just watch those thoughts, those sounds drift in and out of ur senses...u can start by counting ur inhales and exhales... the more focused u r on ur breathing, the less disruptive the thoughts, sounds, even the itches and physical pains become.

look at ur hands placed loosely atop ur thighs, or one on the other. u can try the lotus position, legs crossed, one foot on top of the opposite thigh, the other foot placed under the other thigh... sit erect. u can also close eyes, but do not sleep.. do not get lazy or sluggish.

concentrate. acknowledge the presence of everything that surrounds you, but do not attach urself...

watch them, know them, drift in and out of ur sight, and other senses.

Be guided by the 4 noble truths:

1. Life is suffering; it is imperfect, stressful, filled w/ anguish and it is impermanent. We are interconnected, interdependent, there is no need for attachment.

2. Suffering is due to attachment. We strive for perfection and permanence by attaching ourselves to someone or something. We can love, we can grieve, but we must accept the impermanence of everything.

3. Attachment can be overcome. Nirvana is reached by letting go, ceasing to cling,
extinguishing hatred and ignorance, with the full acceptance of the impermanence,
imperfection and interconnectedness of everything.

4. There is a path for us to take in order to accomplish this -the dharma.


The 8-fold Path (Dharma):

A. Prajña/Wisdom:

1. Right view -true understanding of the truths
2. Right aspiration -true desire to free oneself from attachment, ignorance and hatefulness

B. Shila/Morality:

3. Right Speech -abstinence from lying, gossiping, or hurtful talk
4. Right Action -abstinence from other hurtful behaviors, i.e. killing, stealing, irresponsible sex
5. Right Livelihood -avoiding dishonesty and hurtful actions

C. Samadhi/Meditation

6. Right Effort -focus on achieving peace of mind through meditation
7. Right Mindfulness -focus on the body, one's feelings, thoughts and consciousness to overcome craving, hatred and ignorance
8. Right Concentration -meditate to truly come to an understanding and acceptance of imperfection, impermanence and non-separateness.

BLOODYADDICT!

dalawang addictions ang na-pacify ko kagabi.

first, yung white coffee sa alda's. GOD. if hindi lang talaga ganun KABILIS ang service nila that night, i would've ordered three more cups... at hindi ko rin siguro i-s-sniff to death yung empty cup ko. i am still wondering kung ano yung nilalagay nila sa coffee nilang yon, kaya't ganon kagrabe yung craving ko. sabi ni des may marijuana raw na hinahalo doon. baka nga. kaya pala megasniff and inhale ako ng smoke nun... hmmm...

second, yung FIREWORKS DISPLAY! naghyperventilate na naman ako. shaaaaat. galeng talaga :D salamat ate o sa iyong balikat na sinabitan ko kagabi, just to keep myself from falling to my knees. haha.

dinah and malen missed it. ok lang, kitakits nalang sa UP fair later. sana makakuha tayo ng tickets. if not, ok lang. i'm sure we'll find a way to celebrate valentine's day in the freakiest way we can imagine. yikes.

bahay at lupa. para sa amin ni dennis. yung may malaking garden at malaking kitchen. dollars naman di ba? saka bibili ako ng isang lugar sa probinsya, sa may malapit na beach at may cove. papatayo ako ng bahay kubo dun, malayo sa sibilisasyon.

3. What is the first thing you buy for someone else?
a brand spanking new house for the family. tama ka chie. pero yung sa min hindi spanking, masakit yun eh.

4. Do you give any away? If yes, to whom?
oo. sa pamilya at kamag-anak ko. at mga kaibigang nangangailangan...ng vodka, baileys... bibili na lang pala ako ng bar para sa bum squad kasi si bloody bum bibili na ng condo eh.

i think so. bibili ako ng maraming properties.... sa new york, paris, LA, palawan... bibilhin ko sa gobyerno ang mrt at lrt.
